Skylark Pink Belly Rose is sourced from Lakeview Vineyard just outside of Hopland in Mendocino County. We farm this vineyard solely for our Rose production, picking early to preserve freshness and acidity, the hallmarks of Pink Belly Rose. 2024 was a balanced and moderate growing season, starting with average rainfall throughout the winter and spring. The summer weather was mild and temperate, and with no excessive heat spikes to manage it was a textbook grape-growing season. Mendocino did experience a hot second half of August, then a cooling trend allowed Lakeview Grenache to leisurely ripen to its maturity. We picked Grenache on September 23 under ideal conditions.

Salmon pink. Floral notes of summer citrus, red cherry and a subtle stoned-fruit complexity. These high-toned aromatics lead into a beautifully streamlined palate, featuring citrus, cherry and strawberry fruits in seamless balance with the natural acidity. The red fruits of summer are lifted here by the natural structure, leading into the savory and invigorating finish. Sleek, supple and refreshing, 2025 Pink Belly Rose is a beautiful entry into the days of summer.
